OUR JOURNEY

West Street Children is a punk rock band originally from Corner Brook, Newfoundland, Canada. The band consists of twin brothers Michael Watton (guitar, lead vocals) andMark Watton (bass, backing vocals), and Mac 'Szauce' (drums), and originated in 2004 when the two brothers discovered a passion for writing and playing punk rock music after stumbling across punk bands on MTV. Their sound is a mix of old-school punk/pop-punk influences and modern edge rock, driven by gritty guitars, pounding drums, catchy bass riffs, and lyrics that challenge the status quo. Their live performances are professional, energy-packed, aggressive and melodic, and focus on crowd engagement and simply having fun. Their new album ‘Calling 1991’ (November 2024) speaks on everything from the takeover of artificial intelligence, to gun violence, to depression, nostalgia, the future of our world, and simply just falling in love and laying under the stars.

With roots in classic punk attitude and a modern edge, West Street Children delivers performances that are raw, engaging, and built to connect with audiences who share a love for loud, honest music.

Though the brothers have been in the band since the beginning, in 2025 the band introduced Mac 'Szauce' as their new drummer, and have been touring all around Victoria, BC, venturing as far as Kelowna, BC in the fall of 2025.
